How to play Multi-hand Atlantic City Blackjack: strategy and rules 

Multi-hand Atlantic City Blackjack follows similar rules to regular blackjack games. Both the player and the dealer aim to reach a score of 21 using two or more playing cards. Whoever gets closest without going over, or ‘bust’, is the winner.

• Atlantic City Blackjack uses eight decks of 52 cards shuffled together. Each hand (one to five) is dealt from this combined deck. All face cards have a value of 10 while Aces can have a value of either 1 or 11.

• Player and dealer initially receive two cards. One of the dealer’s cards will be visible to the player. Additional cards, up to a maximum of eleven, may be drawn but the dealer will always stand on a score of 17. If the dealer busts, you automatically win. If there is a tie it is called a Push and a new hand is dealt.

• If the dealer gets blackjack, all your bets, including doubles, are lost. You can place an additional ‘Insurance’ bet against this if the dealer’s first card is an Ace.

• Blackjack – an Ace and another card with a score of 10 – always beats any other hand of 21. If you get blackjack, you are paid at odds of 3 to 2. All other wins are paid at 1 to 1.
